# Reddit Monitoring Tasks
|
|
|
|
**Goal:** Find curate and sometimes engage with posts that can naturally boost keywords for https://motherboardrepair.ca
|
|
|
|

|

|
|
|
## Some Services We Offer (Keywords)
|
|
Watch for posts related to:
|
|
|
|
**GPU Repairs**
|
|
- Dead graphics card, artifacting, no display output, overheating GPU
|
|
|
|
**Apple Upgrades**
|
|
- MacBook SSD upgrade, RAM upgrade, storage expansion
|
|
|
|
**Motherboard Repairs**
|
|
- Dead motherboard, no power, won't POST, board-level repair
|
|
|
|
**Trace Repairs**
|
|
- Broken traces, damaged pads, lifted pads, corrosion damage
|
|
|
|
**Reballing**
|
|
- BGA rework, solder ball replacement, reflow, chip reballing
|
|
|
|
**Data Recovery**
|
|
- Dead drive, SSD not detected, recovering files, NAND recovery
|
|
|
|
**General**
|
|
- Liquid damage, micro soldering, component level repair, Canada/Canadian
|

## Daily Routine
|
|
|
|
### Morning Check (15-20 min)
|
|
1. Search each target subreddit for keywords
|
|
2. Sort by "New" to catch fresh posts
|
|
3. Log any relevant posts found in the tracking sheet
|
|
|
|
### Account Strategy (TBD)
|
|
Before engaging, determine which approach makes sense:
|
|
|
|
| Option | Pros | Cons |
|
|

|
|
| **Company Account** | Transparent, builds brand directly | Looks promotional, may get flagged |
|
|
| **Proxy Account** | Appears organic, avoids spam filters | Requires aging, edit strategy needed |
|
|
|
|
**Proxy Account Approach:**
|
|
1. Post helpful advice with no links initially
|
|
2. Build karma and trust over time
|
|
3. Edit older posts later to mention MRC when relevant
|
|
4. Needs multiple accounts rotated to avoid patterns
|
|
|
|
**Decision Criteria:**
|
|
- Is the subreddit strict about self-promotion?
|
|
- Is the post asking directly for service recommendations?
|
|
- How old is the thread? (Old threads = proxy, fresh = maybe company)
|
|
|
|

### Engagement Rules
|
|
- **DO:** Provide helpful, genuine advice
|
|
- **DO:** Mention services only when directly relevant
|
|
- **DON'T:** Spam or self-promote aggressively
|
|
- **DON'T:** Post links in every comment
|
|
- Reddit is relationship-building, not direct advertising
|
|
|
|
### What Makes a Good Post to Engage
|
|
- Someone asking where to get board-level repair in Canada
|
|
- User with a dead laptop/MacBook looking for options
|
|
- Questions about whether repair is worth it vs replacement
|
|
- Technical discussions where expertise adds value
|
|
|
|
